  • The approval of ITER has started a new era in the field of magnetic confinement (Tokamak) fusion. The conference is the first appointment of the diagnostic community after the approval of ITER, and it will focus on:
  • The formation of young scientists
  • Critical issues related with the measurements of fast particles, plasma facing components,dust and radiation effects
  • Review of the status of diagnostics for ITER with particular reference to the capabilities of the present proposed systems to meet the requirements on the measurements
  • Some perspective of diagnostic developments for DEMO
